Standard 4:
Reflect on professional practice

Rationale

These two artifacts illustrate my commitment to growing as a professional and to my ability to look at my current practice and recognize areas of growth and strength. The graphic organizer outlines the who, what, when, where, and why of my experience attending the Poudre School Distract art educators meeting. This assemblage of professionals was an excellent opportunity for me to see what the common interests and pursuits of the distract teachers. Various presentations and resources were presented at this event that allowed me to have a clear understanding of being a professional art teacher in this particular district. Additionally I have met the standard of professional growth through the reflection of my second lesson at Rocky Mountain High School. This reflection allowed for me to examine the pre and post-assessments of my students in the digital art room and see that many of them had struggled with the content. After understanding and accepting this fact I was able to look for new ways to teach the lesson in the future and deliver content more effectively for a diverse group of students.
