I was Born in Fort Collins Colorado into a Family of life long educators. My parents Ruben and Carrie Flores met in San Antonio Texas where they both taught elementary school. I have two sisters and together we were home schooled for the majority of our educational lives. I gained my education through home schooling from 1st grade through sophomore year in high school. I graduated from University high school in 2012 and began my studies at CSU in the fall of that year. During my time as student I have been involved in and educational program called Breakthrough Collaborative that facilitates opportunities for inner city middle school students to achieve their college goals by providing a six year program consisting of three years of summer school and increased support and guidance in high school. I worked as a summer teaching fellow during the summers of 2013, 2014, and 2015 teaching 7th grade physics, 8th grade algebra, and 9th grade biology respectively. Additionally I work as a studio artist privately commissioned to create scale model replicas of WWII cities and scenes, you can learn more about this in my studio practice section. I love my family and remain close to them throughout my life, they inspire me to pursue and value education and to value the people in my life.
